Samson: The Weakness of Strength
God called Samson to be a life-long Nazarite. Discounting the worth of his call, hemaintained a life of rebellion. Nonetheless, God endued him with superhuman strengthto tear a lion apart, carry the poundage of the iron Gates of Gaza, and collapsing apagan temple by pushing on its pillars. Yet his strength dissolved at the hands of awoman Philistine spy, Delilah. How do we make sense of Samson’s life of rebellion; andfaith as recorded in the New Covenant? We will figure it out together and emerge withsome practical lessons for us today.
