Messiah in the Skies

Mondays in December: December 2, 9, 16 and 23 at 1:00 PM Eastern

Some 3000 years ago, King David wrote “The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament his handiwork” (Psalm 19:1). We can imagine the shepherd David spending many nights under the stars and reflecting on the heavenly pictures that were on display. So many ancient cultures of the world (Chinese, Chaldean, Persian, Greek, Roman, etc.) agreed that there was some kind of message in the sky over the calendar year. The zodiac, as it was called, is consistently portrayed as 12 unusual starry stick figures which seem to parade across the nightly expanse. No matter what culture or time of history, these diverse groups seem to agree that there is, what we might call today, a “heavenly powerpoint” with some kind of message behind it.

You are invited to join us in our new class which explores amazing details about this Jewish/biblical message. Next time we are under a starry sky, may we reflect like King David, Job and John on the message of redemption from our Creator.
