A Taste of Wein: The Messianic Jewish Chef
Sundays in June:
*June 1 - special time 4:00 PM, so you can have fresh blintzes on Erev Shavuot*
and June 8, 22 and 29 at 7:00 PM Eastern
Instructor: Lynn Wein McCoy
Lynn Wein McCoy grew up in a religious Jewish home in Hartford, Connecticut, where she loved to watch her Bubbie (grandmother) make pie crust. Her favorite memories are those in the kitchen, where at an early age her mother would ask, “What does it need?” regarding a boiling pot of matzo ball soup on the stove top.
Lynn began cooking for meetings, conferences, Shabbat dinners and the Jewish Holidays in 1987 to show her love of people and show them hospitality. Under the name “Taste of Wein,” Lynn has built up a following on Youtube and Facebook. What began as a class offered to the Jewish community, became a regular segment through live video presentations during Covid-19. Lynn folds the Jewishness of the gospel into every episode, so that others may “Taste and See” that Lord is Good, one nosh at a time.
In this class Lynn will show us how to create a new dish each week.
Week 1: Blintzes
Week 2: Honey Cake
Week 3: Rugelach
Week 4: Chicken Soup with Matzo Balls
